Christian Montes
I’m Christian Montes, a tattoo artist from Bogotá, Colombia (1992). More than ten years ago I started on the streets, painting bold, colorful murals. Soon after, I realized that the same energy could live on skin, so I moved into tattooing and made it my path.
First, I learned to translate spray-paint and acrylic color palettes into tattoos. Then, through practice and collaborations, I refined my drawing, composition, and color harmony. I studied Design and Fine Arts in Bogotá, which gave me a solid base and, more importantly, shaped how I see light, texture, and movement.
Today, my focus is expressive color work—pieces that feel alive and personal. Before we start, we talk through your idea. Next, I sketch options, choose a palette that fits your skin tone, and plan placement so the piece flows with your body. During the session, I keep everything clean and comfortable. After, I guide you with clear aftercare so your tattoo heals bright and smooth.
